Project Teams as Part of the Ockham Method

Ockham executes projects through careful collaboration of “home-based” study teams, external organizations, and/or select sub-contractors. Ockham plans and executes its business, operational, and project activities from its office locations – the value, importance, and positioning of which are neither incidental nor accidental.

Ockham Headquarters – immediately adjacent to internationally recognized Research Triangle Park (RTP), Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – is complemented by satellite offices around the globe. From the East Coast (metropolitan Philadelphia area - the heart of the growing “Northeast Pharmaceutical Corridor” which stretches from Washington D.C. to New York and on to Boston) – to the West (South San Francisco), as well as the Mid-West (suburban Chicago), and overseas in the U.K. and India, each location is strategically selected to take advantage of areas rich in cutting-edge high technology and advanced medical, biotech, and pharmaceutical sciences research and resources.

Project Management is typically conducted from Ockham Headquarters and is supported by a carefully selected project team consisting of:

  • Medical Monitor
  • Project Manager - Senior Management representative(s)

Clinical Monitoring is distributed among:

  • Lead Clinical Research Associate (CRA) - based at Ockham Headquarters
  • Other Monitors -- regional, based according to site locations.

Sub-Contractors and Vendors (as required) – based according to site locations – for:

  • Laboratories
  • Institutional Review Board (IRB)
