About Our Name: Ockham Development Group
William of Ockham, a Franciscan friar, theologian and philosopher, was a controversial figure throughout much of the 14th century. While his writings on politics and religion were extensive and diverse, the principle for which he is remembered is now known as “Ockham’s Razor” – sometimes rendered Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate. Literally translated, “Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily”.
We subscribe to Ockham’s approach and simplify to a more generalized position, “All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.”
